Hidden Valley - Flateyjardalur

We now offer for the first time a special autumn tour to Flateyjardalur which has become one of our most beloved destinations through the years.

The valley is sheltered by high mountains on both sides but opens up when getting closer to the shore of the arctic ocean. 

At this time of the year, autumn colors will be a at prime level and the rich vegetation of the valley will make the valley even more beautiful than it already is during summer time. 

If we are lucky and the Northern lights appear, then there is nowhere better than watching them from this closed valley free of any possibly light disturbance from nearby farms or traffic.

We will spend 4 day’s riding up and down this 30 km long valley following nice trails along riverbanks in small canyons and higher grounds with fantastic views all around.

Accommodations are in 2 small mountain huts (sleeping bag accommodation, no showers); one deep inside the valley and the other by the shore. 

The last night we’ll spend at Saltvík farm with a visit to Geosea in the evening.
