Northern Lights tour

During late autumn we offer great riding adventures from Saltvík farm in the north of Iceland. We make daily rides from Saltvík farm along the coastline of the Arctic Ocean which might be covered by a fresh layer of snow in that time of the year already. Iceland in winter costume is truly an adventure to experience!

There is a good chance you will see the Northern Lights in action in the Arctic sky above north Iceland during the autumn/winter seasons. We will do our best to find the best possibilities in the area for watching the Northern Lights when they show up in the evening!

Hours in the saddle are 3-5 hours per day, mostly divided in 2 separate rides with lunch at the farm in between.
This tour is suitable for all riding levels.

We also visit the newly established geothermal bath "Geosea" in Husavik which is a well deserved relaxation after riding activities and the fresh air in the face on our daily rides. 
Optional at extra cost is also a sailing trip from Husavík harbor either for the search for whales common out of the coast of north Iceland or even for the hunt for northern lights out in the peace and quiet of the arctic sea!

Accommodation is in double rooms with private facilities at Saltvík farm.
Single rooms can be booked at extra cost (60 euro extra per night). Please contact us for availability if you’d like to book a single room. 

Meeting point the first day is at Eagle air airport in Reykjavík for the domestic flight to Husavik in the north. ( Flight time 45 min.) 

A representative from Saltvík farm will be waiting at the airport in the north for the drive to Saltvík farm (5 min drive) 

We’ll drive or fly (depending on group size and flight possibilities) the groups back to Reykjavík by bus, estimated arrival in Reykjavík around 16.00 am on day 4 after the ride.
