Horses On Ice - Mývatn Open

We now offer a special edition of our popular winter ride tour. This tour is 1 day longer (4 ridingdays) than our regular winter tours and includes a visit to lake Mývatn both for riding on the ice and enjoy watching Icelandic riders competing with their horses at the annual ice ride competition at Lake Mývatn which takes place in the first week of March every year. 

We’ll ride a couple of days around our farm Saltvík following nice trails along the seaside and spend one of our regular riding days at Lake Mývatn riding on the frozen lake which is a quite extraordinary experience for all riders. Included are also some sightseeing to nice places nearby. We'll visit waterfalls, lava formations and volcanic hot spots and spend one of the afternoons at the newly established Geosea natural baths relaxing after the daily activities. Included in the price is full board, accommodation, all travel from and to Reykjavík before and after the tour. We offer only one departure for this tour, so early booking is recommended.
